75th World Foundry Congress (2024, China) follow-up meeting between FICMES and the WFO

The discussions between the General Secretary of FICMES and the General Secretary of the WFO took place in Slovenia on September 14th
The 75th World Foundry Congress (WFC2024), hosted by the World Foundry Organization (WFO) and organized by FICMES, will be held in Deyang, China from October 25th to 30th, 2024. The General Secretary of FICMES Liu Hongchao and the WFO General Secretary José Javier González recently held a working meeting in Slovenia where they discussed in depth some organizational aspects of this big event for the foundry industry.
This meeting allowed interesting discussions around the international expertise that will be showcased in the plenary sessions, where renowned international speakers will be taking part, as well as other sections included in the preliminary programme.
The General Secretary of the WFO will soon travel to China to follow closely the development of the work and to analyze the needs for international cooperation aimed at increasing the level of this gathering of the global foundry industry.
About the 75th World Foundry Congress in 2024
The World Foundry Congress is held every two years. It is hosted by the World Foundry Organization and organized by its member states in turn. Since it was held in France in 1923, it has made great contributions to promoting the development and exchange of foundry science and technology in the world.
The WFC2024 will be celebrated in Deyang Wende International Convention and Exhibition Center, Sichuan, China. Known as the “City of Heavy Equipment”, Deyang has a solid foundation for the heavy equipment industry and owns a number of leading enterprises and manufacturers. Under the slogan “Developing foundry”, the delegates will access a full programme of technical presentations and visits to companies.
