World Foundry Summit 2022 Re-Scheduled Event

It is with great regret that we have to announce the further postponement of the World Foundry Summit, scheduled to take place at the Roosevelt Hotel, New York in May 2021.

We know the timing of our announcement comes as a disappointment so early in the year. More than anything, we are eager to deliver some good news and mark a fresh and positive start to the year. However, the present climate suggests that we may have to wait a little longer to do so.

When we were compelled to cancel the Summit last year, we were hopeful that by 2021 we would see an early recovery for the industry and the lifting of international travel restrictions leading to the resumption of WFO events. We still believe wholeheartedly that a resurgence will come, but sadly we do not believe it will happen in time for us to deliver a strong and successful event in May.

The Summit in New York is a hugely global event – with delegates and speakers representing many countries – and we are, therefore, reliant on international travel routes being open in abundance in the coming weeks to enable our stakeholders from across the world to confirm their participation. We believe this is unlikely to be the case in the short term.

All that said, we are genuinely positive about the future.

Industry prospects

The vaccine roll-out and improvements in rapid testing programmes give us great confidence for the prospects of our industry and for travel in general. We are very confident that we’ll be able to deliver a successful Summit at some point in the future, but at this time it is difficult to be able to say exactly when. The WFO Team is already working hard with our partners in the New York venues to create and deliver a successful event that will drive the future growth and strategy for our industry.

In the meantime, we remain committed to value creation. We’ll be working with our industry partners, speakers and sponsors to deliver on our mission of uniting and advancing the global castings industry – doing everything we can to educate, innovate and help you to make powerful connections with the right people.

You can count on The WFO

We remain at the service of the industry and cannot wait to see all our industry friends again in person. When we do deliver the World Foundry Summit and World Foundry Congress – you can count on them being worth waiting for.

With best personal regards,

Andrew
